I have used the recording in a video, that you uploaded to the Archive.com site, "Battle Hymn of the Republic" by the U.S. Army Band.

http://www.archive.org/details/TheBattleHymnOfTheRepublic_993

My video was flagged by Facebook and Youtube as being in violation of copyright.

I don't know where exactly the recording came from, so can you give me more information, so that I can defend my use of the recording?

Thanks!

Phil Harris

Greetings. I am currently doing post audio on a student project of mine and I would really like to use this recording for the finale of the film.

I was wondering a few things:
A - Is this recording of the Battle Hymn of the Republic TRULY royalty free?
B - Is there are higher quality rip of this song available? 1.52mb for a 5 min track does seem a bit small and the recording does sound a bit muffled...

Please feel free to contact me at joeydietrich@hotmail.com.

Thanks for this music. I used it in a montage of images and videos from the 2013 October 13 Million Veterans March.

A whopping ten minutes, to the end of the post-credits bit.

YouTube says the music is copyright, so they put an ad on it. I have contested this, referencing this page. It was not my choice and the ads are inappropriate for the material.

The images that day as they came in were moving, and I tried to reflect that in my editing, but it really came together with this music. I have had YouTube mark things as copyright before which were not, and they corrected it. I hope this will be the case here as well.

Following up on my earlier comment, YouTube dropped the ads, apparently acknowledging the cut they identified was not the Battle Hymn from here on PDAV.

Glad to hear that A Mindful Webworker :)
