"Let's All Go to the Lobby" is a 1957 animated musical snipe played as an advertisement before the beginning of the main film. It featured a family of four talking concession stand products, singing "Let's all go to the lobby to get ourselves a treat" and walking to the concession stand. The lyrics were written by Jack K. Tillar. The tune is an arrangement of "We Won't Be Home 'Til Morning", an 1840s drinking song by William Clifton.


The trailer was animated by Dave Fleischer (producer of Popeye cartoons) and produced by Filmack Studios of Chicago, a company that specialized in snipes. It was part of a series of Technicolor trailers aimed at informing audiences about a theater's newly installed concession stand.

In 2000, "Let's All Go to the Lobby" was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress as being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant".

Sabine Baring-Gould, a Roman Catholic writer and priest. He was born in England in 1834. Sir Arthur Sullivan, who wrote this music, is the Sullivan of the famous "Gilbert and Sullivan" operettas.

He wrote every kind of music--the "Lost Chord" was another of his you may remember. Queen Victoria knighted Sullivan in 1883; he died in London in 1900.

The X-15, designed to provide data on material and human factors of high-speed, high-altitude flight, made the first manned probes into the lower edges of space. It was built for speeds of up to 4,000 mph and altitudes of 50 miles, but these goals were exceeded on numerous occasions. Several X-15 pilots earned "astronaut" rating by attaining altitudes above 50 miles. The X-15 flight program contributed significantly to the Mercury, Gemini and Apollo projects.

The X-15 was carried aloft by a B-52 and was released at about 45,000 feet and 500 mph. Its rocket engine then fired for the first 80-120 seconds of flight. The remainder of the 10-11 minute flight was powerless and ended with a 200 mph glide landing on a dry lake bed.

The first powered X-15 flight was made on Sept. 17. 1959, and 199 flights were made between 1959 and 1968 by the three X-15s that were built. The No. 1 X-15 is at the Smithsonian Institution's National Air and Space Museum, and the No. 3 X-15 was destroyed in a crash. The No. 2 aircraft was retired to the National Museum of the United States Air Force in October 1969.

For many people, the loud yodeling call of this bird signifies wilderness. During the early summer, young loons can often be seen riding around on their parent's backs.

Loons and grebes are waterbirds that breed on freshwater lakes and ponds during the summer and spend the rest of the year on coastal marine waters. They are medium-to-large sized birds that dive underwater to feed primarily on fish but some species also eat invertebrates such as dragonfly larvae. Their legs are positioned far back on the body making these birds strong swimmers but awkward on land. They come to land only to nest, often on the shore of the same lake year after year.

Black bears (Ursus americanus) are the most numerous and widespread North American bear. Though the black color phase is most common, "black" bears can also be various shades of brown or even white. Adult males usually weigh from 250 to 400 pounds, while females range from 150 to 225 pounds. They are omnivorous and depend greatly on their sense of smell to locate food. Bears can run as fast as 30 miles per hour. Their curved claws enable them to climb trees. They are also powerful swimmers.
